True Revival is a group of life long musicians and Christian brothers that use their gifts to bring glory to God. They just do it a little louder and with a bit more distortion.

I am a bluesy rocker at heart... However after growing up in a Christian home and hearing nothing but (yes, I mean nothing but) Gospel on the radio, I developed strong faith and great love for the Lord! Then I saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan and it changed my world. I actually remember feeling something change inside as I watched and I knew I had to be a musician! I begged for a guitar and got into the acoustic scene through John Denver, then was blown away by Led Zeppelin and the rest is history!
After years of traveling, trying to get a break in the “rock” world, I finally listened to the calling of Christ. He continued to give me songs with lyrics that would lead others to Him. So, True Revival is the vessel to get the message out!!
I guess I'm a Christian Bluesy Folk Rocker... LOL, Whatever that might be; guess you'll have to listen to see!

I love playing bass guitar! I first realized the power of music all the way back in elementary school. Classic master composers such as Bach, Handel, and other Baroque writers were my favorites – yes, even in the third grade. I credit this foundation for steering me towards the bass. After playing with a couple of rock cover bands (Led Zeppelin, Rush, and the Who were heavy influences) around the Chicago area in my late teens and early twenties, I heard the calling of the Lord and dedicated my life to Him while serving in the Air Force several years later. It was then I realized that I could merge two of the loves of my life into one – Christian bassist Jim Hallock was born!
The idea of “True Revival” was born through the leading of contemporary worship at our local church. We are a Band of Christians dedicated to leading others to Christ, with the talents and abilities supplied by Him, through the universal language of music. I am honored to make our music, for Him, with four of the finest brothers-in-Christ musicians I know. Bass4Jesus!

They call me "Metal" Dan. I was brought up in a music filled house. Both of my parents had excellent voices but I didn't inherit that gene, I got the drummer gene. My Dad was from Nashville, my Mom from Indiana and both of them were from the Greatest Generation, that's why I love everything from Glenn Miller to Rob Zombie. Top 5 bands KISS, RUSH, DEVO, Metallica, but nobody will EVER top The Beatles. The two best things after God, family and USA are music and comedy. "If you have time to breathe, you have time for music"(Briscoe Darling Jr.). And remember, there are 3 things that are ALWAYS funny... farts, midgets and monkeys.
Doug:
I come from a very musical family and the presence of music has been around me since the day I was born. My dad and grandparents had a country and western band that traveled around Illinois and Indiana playing various events and bars. However, music wasn't my first love. That was a tie between sports and fast cars. One got me a scholarship and the other was just fun, I still have that old hot rod in my garage.
I first began my pursuit of music during my senior year of college with an old Crate amp and a Randy Rhoads replica guitar and I still have both of them.
Then came career pursuit, marriage, kids and a busy life. However one of my Christian brothers talked me into jamming with him on our lunch hour at work. He then convinced me to play in a worship band with him at church. From that time on, I have been playing in worship bands and mentoring young guitar players and growing as a musician myself.
Big influences in music would be my dad, Ted Nugent, AC/DC, Metallica, ZZ Top, and many many blues players.
It is great to be part of a band that writes and plays such uplifting and powerful music. I truly feel blessed.
